The Jamega Tour arrived at Woodcote Park in September! This was the first Professional Tour event held at WPGC and from the comments received by both players and officials, they thought the facilities and the course were an excellent standard and well worthy of such a prestigious event. Extracts from the Jamega report on the event include: "The Jamega Pro Golf Tour provided the platform for Tyrrell Hatton’s first professional win, this feat accomplished at Woodcote Park that is a traditional parkland golf course with tree lined fairways and small greens set close to Croydon in South London. "Woodcote Park is a delightful golf course with a traditional warm and welcoming clubhouse where you can order very reasonably priced food, which comes in very generous portions. The course is looked after by a team of dedicated green keepers, many thanks Gordon, an excellent job particularly as you’ve only recently taken over the course managers role, it was a joy to behold and play. Click here for a full report on the Jamega web site. After Day 1, Assistant WPGC pro Graham Thatcher was only 1 behind the leaders with a great score of 69, and one of our other pros, Balraj Dhanjal, was only 1 shot further back. Unfortunately they could not match these rounds on Day 2, but Balraj finished as the best of the Woodcote pros with a total of 142. Full results are on the Jamega web site. |
